On the afternoon of December 12, 2022, Dalat University held a conference on joint defense and security education in the school year 2022-2023. Attending the conference were representatives of the National Defense and Security Education Council, higher education institutions and colleges in the province.
The school year 2021 – 2022 was the first year that the Center implements joint training work with colleges and higher education institutions in Lam Dong province according to the assignment of the Ministry of National Defence. Based on reality, on the basis of the guidance of the Standing agency of the Central Council of National Defense & Security Education on the teaching of the subject of defense and security education, the Center has actively connected with the affiliates to discuss and come to a consensus on joint defense & security education. The teaching, training, and assessment of course results are implemented in the online form for the theoretical modules from October 2021 to April 2022 and in the face-to-face form for all the modules of the course from May 2022. The joint work of defense and security education takes place proactively and flexibly in line with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, ensuring the training plan of the associated parties. The Center and its affiliates are flexible and proactive in coordinating, organizing and implementing training courses in defense and security education in accordance with the prescribed contents and programs. The parties have discussed, agreed and adjusted in a timely manner all aspects in the process of teaching, training and managing students.
As a result, national defense and security education has been implemented for 6,935 pupils and students of 8 intermediate schools, colleges and higher education institutions in Lam Dong province.
For university students, after completing the subject of national defense and security education, the Center shall issue certificates; for college students not studying education, after completing the course, the center will grant a decision to recognize the study results for students.
In the academic year 2022-2023, it is expected that the joint teaching of national defense and security education at the Center will have 3,823 students from 7 universities and colleges in Lam Dong province. At the conference, the delegates discussed enthusiastically about tuition fees based on the State’s regulations and the suitability with local realities and the Center.
