Conference to summarise the emulation of the school year 2021-2022 and the direction and tasks of the school year 2022-2023 of the Emulation Group No.6

On the afternoon of August 26, 2022, at Dalat University, the Conference summarising the emulation and commendation of the school year 2021-2022 and the direction and mission for the school year 2022-2023 of the Emulation Group No.6 (hereinafter referred to as the Group) was held with the chairmanship of Hanoi University – Head of Emulation Group No. 6 for the school year 2021-2022.

Attending the Conference were Dr. Nguyen Thi Hanh – Deputy Director General in charge of Emulation and Commendation Department, Ministry of Education and Training and leaders of universities in the Emulation Group No. 6. The conference was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao – President of Hanoi University; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice President of Hanoi University, and the Standing Committee of the Emulation and Commendation Council of Hanoi University. On the side of Dalat University, there was the attendance of Mr. Tran Thong (MSc.), Vice President, and representatives of the Department of Personnel and Administration.

The report summarising the emulation work for the academic year 2021-2022 was presented by Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice President of Hanoi University. During the past school year, the universities overcame the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and successfully completed their professional tasks according to the school year plan with stable, united personnel thanks to the close coordination between universities in the Group and the efforts and solidarity of the leaders, staff, and learners. The Emulation Group No. 6 has achieved many successes in implementing emulation movements in many fields such as: higher education, science, technology and environment, personnel organisation, political education and student services, planning and finance, facilities, international cooperation, quality management, information technology and digital transformation, physical education, inspection, testing, legal affairs, office work, and national defense – security education.

Delegates attending the conference discussed the direction, tasks, and solutions of Emulation Group No. 6 for the 2022-2023 school year, such as: Continuing to promote political and ideological education, strengthen the supervision of Party committees at all levels and State management over the emulation movement and emulation and commendation work; Requesting units in the Group to strictly implement documents and regulations on emulation and commendation; Implementing Directive No. 1112/CT-BGDDT dated August 19, 2022 on the key tasks of the 2022-2023 school year of the Ministry of Education and Training; Developing a specific emulation activity plan of the Group for effective implementation; Timely summarising and evaluating outstanding achievements; Continuing to implement safe and flexible adaptation measures to effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic…

The conference also evaluated the emulation of the academic year 2020-2021, and concluded the results as follow: Tay Nguyen University was proposed to receive the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Education and Training; Hanoi University, Quy Nhon University, Kien Giang University, and Dong Thap University are proposed to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.

Emulation Group No. 6 consists of 9 units which are higher education institutions, including: Dalat University, Kien Giang University, Dong Thap University, Nha Trang University, Quy Nhon University, Tay Nguyen University, Viet Duc University, Hanoi University, and Tay Bac University. At this conference, Quy Nhon University and Dong Thap University were elected as the Head and Deputy Head of Emulation Group No. 6 in the academic year 2022-2023.
