Dalat University and CT Group aim at a pioneer model of cooperation

     (Lam Dong online) – On the afternoon of August 7, Dalat University and CT Group Joint Stock Company (CT Group for short) officially signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement after the two sides learned about the potential, needs, and development orientation of each party. 

Overview of the signing ceremony

     The signing ceremony was attended by the President of Dalat University, Dr. Le Minh Chien; Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Vice President Tran Thong, the leaders of departments of Dalat University, the leaders of member units of CT Group, and students. 

     CT Group, established in 1992, currently has 50 member companies, is a leading enterprise in Vietnam in many fields such as real estate, finance, tourism, technology, especially biology.

     Dalat University has more than 60 years of establishment, innovation and development, is the center of research, training and technology transfer in the Central Highlands and the South Central; has an important position in the national higher education system.

     The two sides have agreed to sign memorandum of understanding with the main contents including: Coordinate in research and develop products and services and select research topics; develop in-depth research directions and research topics related to core biotechnology, as well as national research topics; participate in domestic and international projects exchanges; participate in stock investing and foreign market development projects, human resource development programmes, cultural exchange activities, sponsorship activities, social work, volunteering, etc.

     Help Dalat University do research, participate in learning about business and management practices at the corporation; support to introduce experts/scientists and coordinate with lecturers to organize practical workshops for students; provide information when there is a need for training and retraining; have preferential policies on housing for staff and students of Dalat University in a number of projects; sponsor scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties to study well and excellent students; provide employment opportunities; Organize career counselling programs, etc.

     At the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Minh Chien believed that, the cooperation with CT Group will help Dalat University to develop further, especially promoting the university’s abundant resources of young scientists (about 80% of the 400 staff) and the solidarity of the collective. The comprehensive cooperation with CT Group in artificial intelligence technology and gene technology will help Dalat University accelerate the progress of strategic development to become a leading university in Vietnam and have a collegiate system with at least 3 schools by 2030.

     Chairman Tran Kim Chung commented, between CT Group and Dalat University, there are many similarities in values and vision. The Group always aims for community development, towards the success of young people by having many supportive policies. Along with that, the Group has leading domestic and international experts.

     “The cooperation will be a pioneer model between Dalat University and a leading pioneer in technology, aiming to help Vietnam develop new steps in the coming time,” said Mr. Tran Kim Chung.
