After a period of discussion, on the afternoon of May 27, 2022, Dalat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dalat Vocational College with the goal of promoting strengths of the two universities in order to increase mutual cooperation and support, and work together towards long-term and sustainable development.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Dalat University, there were Dr. Le Minh Chien – Secretary of the Party Committee, President of DLU; Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh – Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Mr. Tran Thong (MSc.) – Vice president, and leaders of departments and faculties of the University. On the side of Dalat Vocational College, there was the attendance of Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh (MSc.) – President; Dr. Nguyen Van Hai – Vice president, and leaders of units of the college.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Le Minh Chien and President Nguyen Thi My Hanh both expressed their joy about the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions. Besides briefly introducing the history of establishment and development, the outstanding achievements of the two institutions in the past time, both Presidents shared that this cooperation has the purpose to promote the strengths of the two sides in order to develop the national education system in the direction of diversifying education types and meeting the needs of society. At the same time, the leaders of the two institutions also agreed to concretise the Memorandum of Understanding into specific tasks and programmes for implementation, and have an annual review and evaluation as a basis for making specific plans in the following years.
In order to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship between Dalat University and Dalat Vocational College, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the following contents: Linking education from college to university for graduates of Dalat Vocational College; Coordinating in utilising existing facilities of each party such as laboratories, practice workshops, experimental production areas, etc. for education and research; Coordinating in the implementation of research activities, domestic and international conferences on vocational training and related fields; Coordinating and supporting each other in communication, admission counseling, career counseling.
After signing the MoU, the leaders of the two schools are responsible for directing their units, departments, and faculties to develop cooperative relationships according to each field, type of education, in accordance with the functions and tasks of each university.
