On the morning of July 21, 2022, the delegation of Tien Giang University visited and discussed experiences in applying CDIO models to build educational programmes that meet expected learning outcomes at Dalat University.

The delegation of Tien Giang University includes 38 members who are leaders of departments and faculties of the University led by Dr. Nguyen Viet Thinh – Chairman of Tien Giang University’s Board of Trustees. Welcoming the delegation, on the side of Dalat University, were Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh – Chairman of Dalat University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Mai Minh Nhat – Vice President of Dalat University, and leaders of the Department of Quality Assurance and Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs.

At the meeting, Dr. Le Thi Anh Tu – Head of Dalat University Department of Quality Assurance presented in detail about the CDIO expected learning outcomes and the experiences that the University has gained in the process of implementing CDIO in educational programmes of Dalat University.

Accordingly, CDIO stands for Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate. CDIO is a model for improving educational programmes, helping to bridge the gap between educational institutions and the labor market, and promoting educational reforms so that learners can have a comprehensive development of knowledge and personal and professional skills, and quickly adapt to the ever-changing professional working environment.

In addition, the two universities also discussed experiences in professional management, teaching, student service, education management, etc., thereby aiming for cooperation activities in the future.
