On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2020) and the 31st anniversary of the All People’s National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 – December 22, 2020) , on the morning of December 21, 2020, Dalat University visited and congratulated the People’s Army units stationed in Dalat city.
The delegation led by Dr. Mai Minh Nhat – Vice President of Dalat University visited the Military Headquarters of Lam Dong Province, the Military Headquarters of Dalat City, the Dalat Army Academy, and the Veterans Association of Lam Dong province.
During the visits, the representative of Dalat University sent greetings to the officers and soldiers who have been working in military units in Dalat city, as well as presented deep gratitude to the units for their cooperation, assistance, and companionship with the development of the University over the past time. Dalat University believes that military units will continue to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho’s army with professionalism, dynamism, creativity, and flexibility; maintain the spirit of combat readiness to perform the task of defending the country; maintain a steadfast heart, persistent spirit, and determination to maintain political security, protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity, perform the task of supporting, serving people’s life, assisting people in economic construction and development, supporting people in preventing, fighting and overcoming consequences of natural disasters, etc. Besides, Dalat University affirmed that it will continue to strengthen coordination in organising training activities, social activities, and exchanges between the University and military units in the area of Dalat city.
The Vietnam People’s Army is a new type of army, of the people, by the People, for the People, is the core force of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces, organised, educated, and trained by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. After 76 years of building, developing, fighting, and winning, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the care and nurturing of the People, the solidarity and help of international friends, the inheritance and promotion of the nation’s military tradition, the Vietnam People’s Army is growing and maturing.
The 76th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 31st National Defense Day is an opportunity for us to review the glorious history of our nation and the glorious victories of our army and people; arouse national pride, revolutionary heroism, the will to overcome all difficulties and challenges; make every effort to build a strong national defense, build a revolutionary, full-time, elite, increasingly modernised Vietnam People’s Army, a reliable political force and a loyal army of the Party, the State, and the people, meet the requirements and tasks in the new period of the revolution, make a worthy contribution to the successful construction of socialism and firmly defend socialist Vietnam.
